Who is required to take this course? |
| The new Server Training laws [7.1-3-1.5-13(b)] mandate that all bartenders, alcohol servers and sellers of alcohol take this course in order to obtain a new permit or to renew an existing permit.

What is the deadline to complete the course? |
| When originally enacted, the deadline to successfully complete an approved course was May 1, 2010. However, on March 12, 2010, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels signed Senate Bill 75 which immediately made changes to the deadline originally enacted. The law now states that servers that hold a current permit have until May 1, 2011 to complete the course. Individuals applying for a restricted permit will still have to attend an approved server training course prior to applying for his/her permit. |
